This bit is easy.... join the Caravan Club in the UK. They have hundreds of sites dotted around the country and they all conform to a standard. Many have child and toddlers bathrooms, and increasingly they are rolling out WiFi for internet access.

The Caravan Club also has affiliated sites in the UK and Europe and all of these are available through their web site. Also on their website is Online Booking.

Booking sites in Europe requires contacting the sites directly, but all the good ones are on the internet and usually have accurate descriptions of what services and facilities they provide. Be aware that at the end of the summer season some of the camp sites with grass "pitches" may be looking a little ragged.

Other than that..... talk to other campers! It's that easy. Your next door neighbour may just be able to tell you where to stay or, just as importantly, where not to stay.

In the UK there is also the Camping and Caravan Association which is also held in good regard and has many locations on it's books.
